More than half of French people shop to ten euros (58%), according to the latest In-Store Media barometer* relayed by BFMTV. This means that consumers who have given themselves a budget of 100 euros for their shopping categorically refuse to go beyond 110 euros. This arbitration in the way of making purchases, essential or not, shows how much the purchasing power of each one is undermined by inflation.

A major change compared to the last two years when the French looked less at the expense following the savings forced by the health restrictions linked to the Covid-19 epidemic. As a reminder, only 45% of those polled said they shopped to the nearest 10 euros in 2020, compared to 46% in 2021. 2021 at 35% this year”, specifies the continuous news channel.
