It is not real yet, but in the digital world, the Kansas City Chiefs would be the replicate Super Bowl winners.

At Madden NFL 21’s official simulation of Super Bowl LV, the Chiefs defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 37-27 to their next successive Lombardi trophy.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes scored the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter using a 12-yard streak to give Kansas City a 34-27 lead. The Chiefs included a late field goal to account for the final margin.

The Madden simulation captured the Super Bowl last year, choosing the Chiefs to conquer the 49ers and Mahomes to become MVP. It ended two successive losses to its Madden sim, which had chosen the Rams to beat the Patriots at Super Bowl LIII (New England won) and the Patriots to beat the Eagles at Super Bowl LII (the Eagles and also Nick Foles were champions that season ).

Even the sim did get it appropriate for Super Bowl LI, choosing New England to come from behind to conquer the Falcons, but the Madden sim’s perimeter wasn’t quite as broad as the Patriots’ historic comeback by a 28-3 deficit.

Mahomes threw touchdown passes to Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Travis Kelce and two to Tyreek Hill — such as one for 63 yards.

The attempt was only sufficient to eliminate Tom Brady, who finished 30 of 44 passes for 322 yards, three touchdowns and an interception.

Tampa Bay scored first at the Super Bowl sim using a Ryan Succop field goal, but the game’s first touchdown was a 5-yard pass from Mahomes to Edwards-Helaire to give Kansas City a 7-3 lead in the conclusion of this first quarter.

The second quarter saw more actions, as Brady struck Godwin to get a 24-yard TD before Mahomes connected with Hill to get a score. Succop made yet another field goal, however, the Chiefs led at halftime 14-13.
