Luxembourg (dpa) – Inflation in the Eurozone went in April, even more than expected. As the statistics office Eurostat announced on Wednesday in Luxembourg, the consumer prices 0.3 percent higher than a year earlier.

In March the inflation rate amounted to 0.7 percent. In a first estimate of a rise of 0.4 percent was determined. Economists had expected a confirmation of the first estimate. In a monthly comparison, the cost of living increased by 0.3 percent.
