Bushes are now grandparents! George W. Bush and Laura Bush shared a first photo of Cora Georgia with baby Cora Georgia. Cora is Barbara’s first daughter. They were married in 2019. The 43rd president of America posted on Instagram, “With full hearts. @laurawbush. I am delighted to announce our new granddaughter.” “Barbara gave birth on September 27, 2021 to Cora Georgia Coyne in Maine, not far from where Barbara and Craig were married. Cora is beautiful and healthy. We are proud of her and thankful for all she has done. On Saturday, the former first lady also shared the post of her husband to her Instagram account. Jenna Bush Hager (Barber’s twin sister) shared with Hoda and Jenna on Thursday that Cora was born at the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, Portland, Maine, six weeks before Barbara’s water broke. Jenna stated that she gave birth at the hospital named for her grandmother, which is named after her namesake. Cora’s middle initial of Georgia is a tribute for their father, who helped Jenna calm down when she learned that Barbara was in early labor. Jenna stated, “One of my favorite things about my parents is that all my dad wrote back in the text was: ‘God’.” It all of a sudden calmed my nerves. I was a little bit frantic. It was nerve-wracking.” Jenna is already a grandparent to Mila, Poppy, 6 and Hal Bushes 6. She may be most excited about her new role as auntie, however. Jenna posted this on Instagram: “Dearest Cora Georgia.” “Today was the day that I met my most beautiful, precious and feisty niece (a little earlier than we anticipated!) As my dearest, most toughest @barbara.p.bush became mama, I was awestruck. Today is the day that I fell in love. You have some cousins who are eager to play with you. But not yet love. Xx auntie j”
