What does it mean when a tendon is met, most desire, in Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale “The galoshes of happiness” read: Those who move nostalgically to the past with a wish, to Italy or to the happiest place ever, the land in the smell and the primitiveness of the early modern period, and wedged in a close Carriage, while outside there’s only heat and poverty, or her family, the happiest goal that a human being can achieve in Andersen’s idea: the sleep of death. And at the end of two fairies, who saw the misery and the galoshes put away before another disaster happens.

it says So in the fairy tale from the year 1838, the things missing from the demonstrations of Andersen’s texts, otherwise, not least of all ease of the narrative, and loving Coloring, and is attracted particularly by a deep skepticism of all auspiciousness. Because you can not leave it, even when the TV channel rbb, where it was happy but in search of material for the annual Christmas movies, apparently, the fairies, the galoshes, and the wish fulfillment and the idea that something better could but to Tinker as it was the sourpuss on her Andersen.

The result is now on view on the second Christmas day in the First, and because this is not a day for gloom and pessimism, moved the story from the Copenhagen of the early industrialization in a courtly environment of the Baroque era, the Brandenburg castle then emits the facade. It’s not about the curiosity about distant lands or remote periods, and certainly not to happiness as such, but a bland impostor story. The is garnished with a bit of loose law from the roller to fall in the yard, which is always reliable for a little Chuckle. Of course, there is the true love, for it is not necessary to change or to dissemble – who has detected the first, lands in the arms of the nice lady’s maid, she wants to the theatre and always verses from “Romeo and Juliet” is recited.

The 2008 series begun in within which “The galoshes of happiness,” now see, is called “Six on a string”, but six new productions is no longer the speech, not of four, as it until 2016 after all, it was usual, when the First to the Tradition of the Christmas fairy-tale remembered. In the past year were added, then with “The swineherd” and “The water of life”, two moderate, and let the number of fairy-tale films of the series “Six on a string” with an impressive 44 to rise.

in Order to make the promised number of full, be added to the new movies by old and in the last years, this procedure was a blessing for the friends of fairy-tale films, the more always verquatsch and increasingly inexpensive newer productions shy: “Hansel and Gretel” from 2012, “six will come to the whole world” (2014), and especially in “The fisherman and his wife” were well rewarded with the View. And if you could also struggle with many adaptations, but always excellent actor.

this year, it was enough only for two new fairy tale movies, in addition to the “galoshes of happiness,” shows the First “Regentrude” according to Theodor Storm. Both are not based on oral traditions, but to individual authors. What was in the case of Andersen’s Text is apparently so cumbersome that they used only individual motifs, is in the “Regentrude” straight as an advantage: The screenplay (Leonie and Dieter Bongartz) keeps largely to the literary template and exploits especially the imagery (directed by Klaus Knoesel, camera Philipp Timme), but sets its own accents, the organically from the Text, a grown-up.

There’s, like, Axel Prahl, who plays the meadow-farmers, a big profiteer of the great drought that has struck the village and the surrounding area home. In the rain, Trude, (Ina Weisse) on the Intervention of his impoverished neighbour, Stine (Gabriela Maria Schmeide) is hoping he will not believe it, and when he hears that the fertility sleep with a goddess under the earth, which is why it doesn’t rain, prancing around Prahl delightfully vicious on the dry ground and calls out “Hello! Wake up“ – then he promises to Stine, the son of Andree (Rafael Gareisen) should marry his daughter Maren (Janina Fautz), if the goddess let it actually rain.
