Carrie Johnson, Britta Ernst… Like Brigitte Macron, these women are now causing a lot of ink to flow in France. They too share the life of important leaders of the Western world: the first is the wife of the British Prime Minister when the second is married to the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, reports Madame Le Figaro. All were captured on the occasion of the G7 2022, organized from Saturday 25 to Tuesday 28 June. The event was held this year in Elmau, in the Bavarian Alps.
In fact, such an event obviously did not only bring together Brigitte Macron, Carrie Johnson and Britta Ernst. France was also represented there by Emmanuel Macron, the United Kingdom by Boris Johnson, the United States by Joe Biden, Canada by Justin Trudeau. The Italian, Japanese and German leaders (whose country also chairs the event) were obviously present.
This year, the G7 took place at Elmau Castle, built between 1914 and 1916 by the German philosopher Johannes Müller and Countess Elsa Waldersee. The building, recalls Ouest-France on its site, had also been rented to the Nazi regime during the Second World War.
For the meeting of the seven most powerful nations in the world, the security of the site has been revised upwards: a metal fence 16 kilometers long and three meters high has been erected. Which doesn’t mean that both of them haven’t had the opportunity to go out. On the contrary !
On June 26, 2022, the organizers of the G7 planned a special program for the partners of the leaders: the Scandinavian march.
