Little secrets between neighbors on screen. This Thursday, October 27 is broadcast Addict, the new drama series from TF1. Split into six episodes of 52 minutes each, this fiction was born from the imagination of its creator Gilles Daniel and directed by Didier Le Pêcheur. Before seeing the first images, Planet reveals some indiscretions around the soap opera worn by actress Cécile Bois.
At the heart of this new series, viewers follow the story of Élodie and Yvan Marsais (Medi Sadoun), a couple who settles with their two children Achille and Chloé in a residential area in the countryside. A new start for this PE teacher and mother, marking the “sign of an important step, supposed to give a new breath to their couple and a better balance to their teenagers”, indicates TF1 in the presentation of the synopsis.
The heroine and her husband meet their new neighbor Bruno (Sagamore Stévenin). A sympathetic and considerate man with each member of the family, at least in appearance. This individual gradually shows his true personality and interferes in the private circle of the family.
More particularly with Élodie who lets herself be seduced by this mysterious man with troubled intentions. The latter also does not hesitate to get closer to Chloé (Lucie Wagenheim) until he manipulates them. A toxic relationship that could well turn the life of the heroine played by the famous actress upside down.
For Cécile Bois, “this woman falls madly in love”, she explains in Télé 7 Jours. “There’s the hold and the manipulation, of course, and the willingness to excuse and go through with it. This loving dimension means that part of her doesn’t want to see, understand or admit that she’s was deceived from the beginning”. Surrounded by her partners, the actress lived this shoot as a trio for several months.
It is in the heart of the south of France, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, that the filming of the Addict series took place. In a press release relayed by TF1, the work began in February 2021. For several months, the Morgane Productions teams set their scene to film the shots.
According to the daily La Provence, Cécile Bois, Medi Sadoun, Sagamore Stévenin and the entire cast of the series shot several scenes in the Provence region. The filming “began in Apt, continues in Aix-en-Provence and is projected on Mallemort and the Lubéron in April”, indicated our colleagues. From Vaucluse to Bouches-du-Rhône, nothing escaped the cameras of director Didier Le Pêcheur. And, even less, the intimate relationships between the three protagonists.
In this new drama series, the heroine played by Cécile Bois finds herself at the heart of a love triangle between her husband and his neighbor. Asked by Télé 7 Jours, the famous actress looks back on their collaboration. “Sagamore is a squall who has a very strong need to exist and express what he has in him. Medi is a light full of grace, humility and kindness”, comparing these two “very different boys” between “the burning fire and the calm sea”.
The actress also reveals that she shot intimate scenes with each of her acting partners. “I was very lucky to work with them, because some scenes were sulfurous. They were delicate, polite and of extreme modesty with me”, she says to our colleagues.
With Gala, the French actress revealed more about their preparation before shooting in front of the cameras. “We were on the same level all three. We made sure that it went as well as possible. Both were deeply respectful, it was even me who told them ‘go ahead, you can touch me’ and they hardly did it. When it’s like that, you free yourself up a bit in the game”. A series that could make the public addicted for three evenings in front of their television.
